Mrs. Tonya Patterson

School Leader, Legacy Prep Intermediate

Mrs. Tonya Patterson serves as the Intermediate School Leader at Legacy Prep, bringing over 18 years of experience in education as a teacher, staff developer, and administrator in Pinellas County Schools. She is deeply committed to student achievement, well-being, and fostering a culture of excellence.

A passionate advocate for children, Mrs. Patterson believes that scholars thrive when surrounded by compassionate, engaged adults who support their academic and personal growth. Her mission is to ensure that every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bethune-Cookman University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University. Mrs. Patterson began her educational journey in 2007 as a 6th-grade math teacher in St. Petersburg, Florida, and brings the same dedication and enthusiasm to each new role.

Mrs. Patterson is eager to partner with families, staff, and the broader community to provide a rigorous, high-quality educational experience for all scholars. Inspired by the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” she looks forward to building strong, collaborative relationships that celebrate and support the success of every student.
