The Alabama Public Charter School Commission is responsible for authorizing and overseeing public charter schools across the state to ensure high-quality educational opportunities for students. Through its oversight and support, the Commission helps schools maintain strong governance, accountability, and academic excellence in the communities they serve.
At New Schools for Alabama, we believe every child should have the opportunity to attend a high-quality school. But the reality is that many children in Alabama — especially those in communities of color — do not.
